Zepp Health looks set to cap off an aggressive 2025 with another Amazfit smartwatch launch. In early October, Malaysia’s SIRIM certification database logged a mysterious new Amazfit device (model number 2549) on October 8th.
Historically, Zepp tends to unveil watches just weeks after these regulatory filings: for example, the rugged T-Rex 3 Pro appeared on SIRIM in mid-August and launched roughly three weeks later.
If the same timeline holds, the new model could debut in late October or early November – perfectly timed for the holiday shopping season.
SIRIM Listing Sparks Launch Speculation
The new model (listed as “A2549”) appeared on SIRIM in early October. Zepp’s pattern suggests a launch only weeks away.
The timing “mirrors previous launch patterns”: the T-Rex 3 Pro hit SIRIM on Aug. 18 and went on sale about three weeks later.
By that logic, Amazfit may formally introduce the 2549 in late October or early November, right before the key mid-November shopping surge. In other words, Zepp Health seems to be saving one more big release for the end of the year.

Performance Line Poised for an Update
Zepp Health has already refreshed almost every Amazfit lineup this year – except the high-end Performance tier. To recap: three of Zepp’s four main categories have new models in 2025.
For example, the Lifestyle line got the Amazfit Active 2 and Balance 2, and the Essential segment saw the budget-friendly Bip 6.
Earlier this fall, the Adventure category was updated with the rugged T-Rex 3 Pro. Notably missing from this list is the Performance category, home to the Amazfit Cheetah and Amazfit Falcon.
- Lifestyle: Active 2 & Balance 2
- Essential: Bip 6
- Adventure: T-Rex 3 Pro
- Performance (high-end): Cheetah & Falcon (no new model yet)
Notably missing from this list is the high-end Performance category. This segment is currently home to flagship models like the Amazfit Cheetah (Pro), designed for serious runners with advanced GPS and training tools.
The ultra-premium Amazfit Falcon, which boasts an aircraft-grade titanium unibody, sapphire glass, and military-grade durability for extreme athletes.
That final bullet is key – the Performance tier still hasn’t seen a 2025 refresh. Now that a new Amazfit model (2549) has surfaced in SIRIM, industry watchers are betting it will fill that gap. In other words, Zepp may be prepping a “Amazfit Falcon 2” or “Cheetah 2” to complete its lineup.
If so, this would fulfill Zepp’s goal of updating every major Amazfit category in 2025 and give athletes and enthusiasts a powerful new watch just in time for year-end.
Zepp’s Big 2025 Push: AI Features and Athlete Partnerships
Zepp’s leadership has been explicit that this year would see many new products across the board. In fact, management told investors that “many exciting products” were in the pipeline and would span all major product lines.
So far that promise has held true – the Performance line is literally the only missing piece. Meanwhile, Zepp hasn’t just focused on hardware. It’s also integrated advanced software and marketing into its strategy.
For example, Zepp OS 4 updates have brought AI-driven features like food recognition using a hybrid OpenAI/Google Gemini approach, which reportedly cut the cost of food logging by 90% in their app.
The company has also stepped up brand marketing. Zepp Health recently announced sponsorships with top athletes – Olympian sprinter Gabby Thomas and Italian tennis star Jasmine Paolini – who have been spotted wearing Amazfit devices during major competitions.
Paolini famously won the Rome Open while wearing an Amazfit Active 2. These moves signal that Zepp is trying to raise Amazfit’s profile and credibility alongside these product launches.
In short, Zepp’s 2025 strategy has been to combine smart new gadgets with flashy new features and partnerships – and the upcoming 2549 watch would keep that momentum rolling into the fourth quarter.
What’s Next: Timing and Expectations
At this point the model number 2549 is our biggest clue, but it doesn’t tell us much about the watch itself. However, given that the Lifestyle, Adventure, and Essential categories have all been refreshed, the balance of probability points to the 2549 being a new Performance-series watch.
A launch in late October or early November would “round off” Zepp’s ambitious 2025 lineup refresh. Zepp’s dual-sourcing supply chain (from China and Vietnam) appears solid, and the SIRIM filing suggests production is likely already underway.
Now we turn our attention to other regulatory filings. The next clues will probably come from agencies like the FCC (US) or IMDA (Singapore), which often post certification details ahead of a launch. Those listings typically reveal specifications and exact model names. If Zepp follows its recent playbook, we might see official teasers and ads very soon.
For Amazfit fans and smartwatch shoppers, the bottom line is: prepare for a final big reveal this year. Whether it turns out to be “Falcon 2,” “Cheetah 2,” or something entirely new, Zepp Health looks ready to finish 2025 with another flagship Amazfit watch.
