Zepp Health has released firmware version 3.2.8.3 for the Amazfit Helio Strap, featuring several notable upgrades.
The highlight is a new recovery heart rate metric, alongside a handy way to restart your device from the Zepp App remotely, plus a fix for improved calorie tracking accuracy.
What’s New in Firmware 3.2.8.3
The most significant addition is Recovery Heart Rate. After your workouts, the Helio Strap now shows how quickly your heart rate returns to normal.
This is a solid fitness indicator that many pro athletes use, and it’s something competitors like Garmin and Polar have offered for years. To see the data in your activity history, you’ll need the Zepp App updated to version 9.12.0 or higher.
Another nice quality-of-life upgrade: you can now reboot your Helio Strap directly from the Zepp App. Instead of messing around with button combinations on the strap, a quick tap in the app handles it for you.
This will save time if you ever encounter sync hiccups or minor issues.
Finally, Zepp Health has refined its calorie tracking algorithm. Some users had noticed inflated burn numbers during longer sessions — this tweak should make your workout stats feel more realistic.
